Description

Here we have a CF off-season effort in brief; just enough to have done something to mix up the squad.

Once this upcoming season flops, we'll fire Chuck Fletcher & AV, and trade Couturier, Giroux & JVR at the TDL, retaining 50% salary for each, and load up on picks for the supposedly deep 2022 & 2023 drafts, and call it an end to a deeply disappointing era.

That's a real big hope that Seattle selects 4.5m Ghost. Karlsson has slipped so much, no one will want his 11.5m cap hit for six full years. Voracek at 8.5 X 3 looks like a bargain comparatively.

I'm not hoping Seattle selects Ghost. I'd rather he stay here because he is actually good, albeit while in the doghouse of a coach who underutilizes him chronically.

I agree re: the contracts. This is the sort of thing I expect Chuck Fletcher to do given the pressures he is operating under; not what I personally want in the slightest.

You make a good scenario and it happens often. A GM who knows his Job is on the line, makes desperate and bad moves, which just solidifies his firing.
