I don't think Calgary considers this. Moving Tkachuk is a massive move for them and kinda signals a rebuild. That said, the value isn't there for both of him and Gaudreau. I'd look at the break down like this:
Tkachuk = Konency, Frost, 2nd (undervalued Tkachuk)
Gaudreau = JVR (Gaudreau is worth far more than JVR)

Both of those players in a package would cost an extraordinary amount from a team and I don't think any team does it

Great trade partners at the draft, I don't think this is the move though. Personally I think Giordano is gone in expansion and Tkachuk is next in line for the C, he won't be moved. If the Flames are moving off of Gaudreau I think Konecny would be the piece they want back but that will cost Calgary significantly, a deal I would like to see is:

Gaudreau
Jakob Pelletier
2nd
3rd

Konecny
Patrick

Tkachuk would be a great Flyer, but contract length as ilklustarated above is a huge problem. Couterier, giroux, gaudreaux and tkachuk all up for contract at same time?

PHI wouldn;t do it, although I think deal slightly favours them. I think its a one or the other gaudreau or tkachuk, with TK being cost controlled as a 60 pt player, its tough.

CGY fans would want more, but TK, Uber prospect at center Morgan Frost and a 1st is probably close to Tkachuk. IMO Tk is equal to Gaudreau alone, based on contract and production.

If a deal was to9 happen, I think its more down to TK for Gaudreau OR TK, frost and a bit more for Tkachuk, not both.

That is terrible, the flames don’t even pick up the phone this is so bad. It is pure garbage the flames easily reject. It’s crazy how terrible that trade is for Calgary. The flames probably won’t be trading either of those players they are going to give sutter a training camp before any big moves

...but also, Seth Jones is destined to be a Flyer Legend so I'd adjust this entire team around that

2 questions:
1- is Pelletier a true center now? I scouted his game back in his draft year, dunno how he's progressed. (I only make that deal if he's ready to take on 3C role, if not beyond ready!) I did like his game, tho

2- you're in the right mind w/ calgary's motive to make Matt the C, it's easy to forget the kraken situation each team's facing
