I am, he's our assist leader and most dynamic playmaker...he's in a rut and he'll get a few bounces and snap out of it. we've seen what he can do.

Certain teams who want to streaky second line winger. He’s good, don’t get me wrong, but he is streaky. I think a lot of teams would be lining up if he was up for grabs, including Seattle if you want to leave him unprotected

Seattle? Maybe not your best bet, but might beat giving up assets to clear cap.

I think it is good you are thinking of moving him. He needs to go and I wrote a detailed article on why about 3 days ago on two zoom calls. To answer your question, I believe 4 to 7 teams would be interested in him, if the price is right. Meaning retaining $700K to drop his salary to $4.8M or add a prospect.

The biggest thing to retain is next season I believe two Forwards will be probably promoted to MTL. Caufield and Poehling. That means 2 guys from the top 9 will need to come out. On the right side in no particular order will be: 1. Gally, 2. Caufield, 3. Anderson. On the left side, I believe MTL will want to sign Tuna and Danault, with Gally, those 3 are one of the best lines 5on5 in the entire league.

so on the left it will look like: 1. Tuna, 2. Toffoli, 3. Poehling.

So that means Drouin is on the outside looking in. I would not even trade him for a player, I would get a pick for 2023. The $ you save from moving Dru, you can apply to Tuna and Danault.

I believe that Drouin has little to no value on the trade market, and that the habs should simply keep him and use him in a limited role, because I believe we would receive a mid round pick and we would need to take on a salary, which is, at this point, not a good deal for Montreal

Do what? Score 55pts? Like when is the Montreal fan base ever going to understand the true distance between the Habs and literally every cup contending team: ZERO SCORING.

The team CANNOT SCORE. They have not been able to score since 2015. Having Gallagher crawl his way to 30 goals, and have only maybe two 20 goal scores on the team - IS NOT GOING TO GET YOUR TEAM A CUP IN THIS DAY AND AGE. Carey Price can steal a playoff series, but he can’t WIN YOU ALL THE GAMES because he can’t score goals.

WHO IS THE HABS FIRST LINE?

I’ll wait.

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher? Where has that taken you? Didn’t you not make the playoffs for the third year in a row, but Covid-19 came to the rescue and gifted them a playoff spot? Where their true colours were shown against a real playoff team in Philly?

My account says I’m a jets fan but I’ve been a die hard Habs fan my entire life. I’ve been screaming “sign a scorer” since Max Pacioretty and all I’ve seen is bottom six or top 9 wingers added, with no interest in acquiring anything on the spectrum of ‘elite’, and 7th defensemen.

Enough with the **** talking of Price and Weber and give them options. They do what they do best when they have a team around them. Figure it out

....you said Drouin is our assist leader and that ‘we’ve seen what he can do’ what can he do exactly? Get middle six playmaker stats but with zero scoring upside? At 5.5mil for 3 more years?
