nice some respect for Nurse and how good he has been this season.

He had a rough game last night. His rebound control nearly gave me a heart attack, but he is criminally underrated.

If you're going by position, not sure you can choose 2LD and 6RD...

And if you're just going by defenseman in general, then you should choose a top 4.

He's good don't get me wrong, but top 5? He only played about 10 games this season so I wouldn't rank him this high yet.

I'm a canes fan and even I have to say Hamilton shouldn't be that high. He cannot play defense. Hamilton is a stellar quarterback in the offensive zone, but he isn't very good at actually defending and as a defenseman, that shouldn't be how it is. Yes, his offensive game is better than his defense and that is fine, but his defense is hard to watch. It feels like Slavin just carries the load and he gets all of the offensive glory.

I don't hate Dougie, just if he wants to be that star defender, he needs to work on his play in his own end.

Id still put Crosby up here over Drai.

Nurse is great, but Roman Josi is better! Also, in my opinion Mark Stone has to be here. I understand not having Nikita Kucherov because he hasn’t played this year. I believe that Sidney Crosby, and Alexander Barkov are both better than Matthews. Both of Petr Mrazek, and Philipp Grubauer are not as good as Connor Hellebuyck, and John Gibson!

Nah..... I would sub out Matthews for Crosby.

Yeah I see what you mean with the whole small sample size thing, but that sample size is getting larger, and he is still maintaining stellar status. He is at least a top 10 in the league though. I think Varlamov should be taken off too. He's great, but right now, Sorokin is stealing the starts. Saros and Fleury could use a bit more recognition.

I'd rather drop the #2C before the league leading in goals.

Who’s a 2c??? Both of Leon Draisaitl, and Sidney Crosby are not 2cs. Not even close.

Matthews>Draisitl easy though. Matthews, Mackinnon and Crosby are all kind of in the same boat. I don't really know if I could pick which one is the best (but Matthews will be the best of them in a couple of years)

I understand where you are coming from, but I will have to respectfully disagree. Draisaitl is better than Matthews is, and also Matthews will not be better than Nathan MacKinnon! Not even close.

Technically Drai is the #2C on the oilers. I like him ALOT. I really do. This comment isn't to say hes bad AT ALL. Id probably put him at #5. This is the same debate as Malkin over the years. Both GREAT players, but I can't reasonably put either of them at the 4th spot when you don't have to go up against the opposing teams shutdown line and there's another guy that's RRALLY close. This is the feather that tips the scales IMO.

You can go on the 4th spot if you are that good, and frankly Leon Draisaitl is. He just plays as the 2c, because we have Connor McDavid! In nearly every other team, he would be their 1c for sure! I just have to respectfully disagree.
