It sounds like it is a much more destructive version of what the Premier League did to the Football League in the early 90s. Top teams grabbing more of the TV revenue, but the super league is also changing the entire structure on top of that and on a pan-European scale.
It’s even worse than that though, because it destroys the entire concept that english soccer is built upon, relegation and upward mobility.
Also how did edmonton get thrown in there?
I don't necessarily disagree, but this is only replacing UEFA EL/CL, wouldn't change the English pyramid system and domestic competition (unless FA bans them, which they won't). Perhaps some players get rested on the weekend, which already happens and already favors the big money clubs who have deep squads. UEFA is just as corrupt if not more, and it's kind of nice to see them undercut for once. They created this beast by not enforcing FFP and now are crying because they got too big and cut them out.

Uhhhhhhh it would take the six most historic franchises out of the EPL. That would destroy everything.
I don’t think understand why there’s so much opposition to it. It doesn’t replace La Liga/ Premier League and other country leagues, it just replaces Champions League during the week. I mean who wouldn’t want to watch the best teams play each other every week.
