As of right now I don’t see this team making it out of the 1st round because of the lineup decisions. Also think Lou f*cked up the chemistry by getting 2 players. Zajac wasn’t needed .

I honestly think this is the worst stretch of hockey I’ve seen the isles play since trotz became HC. We went from a team that can move the puck and play with pace to a team that can generate any offense and even worse defensively. All because Lou and trotz like “their guys”

Komarov is like 4th on my list lol - he hasn’t even been that bad, but you don’t need more than one player like him in the lineup. But we have 5 players who play a similar style. I swear to god if coburn stays in over dobson ...

Trotz says he needs to see more from #Isles top guys. But also from the younger guys, took Noah Dobson out because of his performance last couple games, says he hasn't been getting enough from Oliver Wahlstrom lately. Says it's a grind for the younger players.

I agree eberle is very good I’m just talking salary wise and bailey has been with the org for YEARS just more of a “one has to go” and logically it’s easy to see which but we don’t know what goes on behind the scenes

I agree. I just don’t think eberle is expendable. He’s just as good of a play driver as barzal. I’d do whatever it takes to get rid of bailey. Retain salary, buy him out, add sweeteners. He’s a 3rd liner

Young guys are still developing so he holds them to a higher standard. He’s pushing them to make them better players. Guys like mayfield are what they are but Dobson Wally and even barzal haven’t reached their potential so Trotz pushes them harder to do so. Barzal is the top guy but he’ll still bench him for long stretches of time when he screws up. Also you have to realize that different players respond to different things. Some players respond to a good kick in the a** and some need to be coddled. The coach knows their personalities better than you and I and he responds accordingly. That’s why he treats players different. Because the players are different.

let’s wait and see there were times last year I would’ve told you the same thing but look where they ended up. They lost 7 in a row at one point yet still made the conference finals.

Trotz isn’t exactly known for developing players. I disagree, he’s doing it because naturally he has a soft spot for old grinders. This is worst case scenario, but don’t be surprised if Trotz runs wahlstrom, Dobson, and barzal out of here. He’s not much different from tortorella.

I don’t think young players should play just because - like I don’t think bellows and Aho should be in the lineup right now. But what trotz is doing with wahlstrom and Dobson is weird.
