Tyler Bertuzzi and Moritz Seider are two of the 3-4 players that DET asbsolutely shouldn't trade, you grossely overpaid Adam Larsson, while getting a major cap dump and while not having a proper NHL backup.

I didn't check for a backup goalie. I think the Eichel trade is not that bad, wings are getting a franchise player, no one in the draft has that potential. Seider would be a long term partner for Dahlin, and Bertuzzi is a blue collar and a big leader, but to get Eichel I would consider it. Detroit get Skinner bad contract but maybe he will turn his career around. D-Boss gets one of his best buddy in Eichel.

Detroit dump Nielsen and DeKeyser. Maybe I gave too much for Larsson though.

I think without any move, Detroit will be in a good situation soon, a lot of room on the cap to spend and good young guys.

Skinner got buried by a Kreuger. I never gave up on him. Krueger was so bad his former assistant coach, not interm coach has been taking shots at him in pressers, and has gotten a lot out of players that were dead in the water. Ill give Skinner a couple of years before i get worried about him

I don't hate him as a player and I think in a healthy environment and playing a top 6 role he can be a 25 goal 55 maybe 60 pt guy. I'm just not paying 9million a season for that. He just isnt that guy who scored 40 and got overpaid for it.

It's an interesting trade - but I don't think it's a great fit for Detroit or Buffalo - LAK to me is the place that makes sense, they have the assets and the timeline to make a good win win trade.

Then you're just wrong, Skinner has one of the worst contracts in the league if not the worst. Realistically, no team in the league would take Skinner even if we added a 1st. 5 goals, 40 games this year, even without Krueger, 3 goals in 15 games. Best case scenario Skinner is a good 5 on 5 finisher, he can't provide any offense on his own, and isn't worth close to 9 million.

Meh? Out of all forwards making 9 million +, the lowest has a ppg of .225 with no contribution outside of scoring (Skinner). The next lowest has almost 3x more ppg, with .605 being Jamie Benn, who is a captain, great defensively and physically, but still overpaid. Skinner has the worst contract in the league if not Bobrovsky
