Top six looks good

Third line would be a great shutdown line.

Fourth line looks dangerous

I can almost guarentee you the leafs are not going to scratch both Thornton and Simmonds to rush Robertson.

Why do people not put Hyman with Matthews and Marner. It is legitimately one of the best lines in the NHL, play to your strengths 🤦‍♂️. Galy has looked good on the 2nd line, better than anyone else they have tried with JT and Willy.

I really hope when healthy and the playoffs start the lines look like this:
Hyman Matthews Marner
Galchenyuk Tavares Nylander
Foligno Nash Mikheyev
Thornton Kerfoot Spezza

I think we need to play Foligno in a role that makes him worth what we gave up. If we play him on the third line, why did we give up a 1st and two 4ths? We know what Hyman can bring and create more depth on the third line which will be very dangerous for other teams

Robertson played 14 minutes last night on the 4th line and looked like a top 6 winger

I'm not trying to say Robertson isn't better than Thornton or Simmonds. What I'm trying to say is, Thornton and Simmonds bring Intangables Robertson does not, and also I highly doubt Keefe will scratch them constantly simply out of respect.

I'm almost sure something like this will be the lineup.

You had to give that up because other teams wanted him, ie Colorado. By getting Foligno you can now play him in that role that Hyman would play on the 3rd line with a player he is very comfortable with, Nash, and you add a speedy winger in Mikheyev and you have one hell of a shutdown line.

This now lets you keep Hyman Matthews Marner together. Simple

We seen Hyman on every line other than the 4th line. I would rather have Foligno - Matthews - Marner and let Hyman be very dominant and annoying to play against on the 3rd line

You could argue that Robertson doesn't provide the intangibles but what has Simmonds and Thornton provided for this team as of late? Robertson is very productive

I also don't think that will be the lineup. Probably close to mine if I'm being honest as we didn't pay Foligno a 1st and two 4ths to play on the third line

So you would rather have a guy, Foligno, who has never played with the two best fwds on the Leafs instead of the faster skater in Hyman, who has ridiculous chemistry with Matthews and Marner. Doesn’t make any sense to me, if Foligno plays in the top 6 it will be with Tavares and Nylander. But again, I don’t see that happening in the playoffs but in he’s first few games. He will be on the 3rd line with Nash come playoff time.

The cost of Foligno has no indication of where he will play

Hyman is great on that first line there is no doubting that but he makes the 3rd line so strong and it’s where he can be the most help

IMO that is why Dubas targeted Foligno and not Hall. To play on the 3rd line and keep Hyman with Matthews and Marner. With the powerplay **** right now even strength scoring is at a premium right now. Hyman makes the top line one of the top 5 best in the league, you don’t mess with that

Andersen has been fighting an injury all season long, and has had a month to rest. Give the guy a chance
