Fairly straightforward this offseason, I think. Bring Tuuks/Halak back for 1 year to let Swayman or Vladar play backup for the year (I chose Vladar in this instance but it could very easily be Swayman). Let some youth into the lineup in sheltered but full-time roles. Try to remain competitive but be very weary of how we spend our money (McAvoy, Bergeron, and Lauzon expire after next year, and Pasta the year after that). IDK about Hall, but bring back Mike Reilly, he's looked good so far and we could use the help (what is his contract value? idk so I gave him a slight raise with some decent term but lmk if I'm way off). Also, scratches are players who would be used rotationally, like Bruce Cassidy often does based on matchups. No Taxi Squad either, cuz if the league is back to relative normalcy next year, there won't be one. spread the talent on forwards to try and stimulate some depth scoring, which is always an issue for Boston.
Seattle
7 Forwards: Bergeron, Marchand, Pastrnak, Coyle, Smith, Ritchie, Frederic
3 Defensemen: McAvoy, Grzelcyk, Carlo
1 Goalie: Vladar
Seattle may be interested in Lauzon or Zboril, but pay a low draft pick to select DeBrusk instead. He's looked lost all year but I think the potential is still there, he may need a change in scenery.
Lol, they will protect Debrusk. That is just insane. He has trade value, they are not giving him away. He has more value than either defenseman.
Maybe so, but I'd argue that Lauzon has more value on the ice for the team right now than DeBrusk (not so much Zboril) and DeBrusk has really had a terrible year, bringing down his line mates more often than not. It would suck to not get a return for him, but I'd rather lose him than any of the forwards I protected or Lauzon. Coyle has a NMC too, he'd maybe be the one I'd drop for him but I can't

It’s not an option between debrusk and one of the d men. Debrusk is protected over ritchie and Frederic. Particularly ritchie.
Can't wait for Boston to sign Hall to a 5-6 year deal worth 7-8 mil
That would be bought out for sure.
I’ve never been a big fan of Sweeney, but the one thing he’s done a super good job of is negotiating with his players. Marchand, carlo, mcavoy, pastrnak. All signed pretty far under market value. I have a suspicion he’ll get hall to sign a team friendly deal. It’s pretty obvious hall really wants to be a bruin. I would be fine if he walks too.
So if they leave debrusk unprotected you won't have to pay seattle to take him they'll do it while laughing uncontrollably at you. Giving debrusk away to save whatever 3rd pair defensman they take is a bad move.

What I would want them to do is protect DeBrusk and see who Seattle protects. If they take Lauzon or Zboril, trade DeBrusk to get them back, maybe getting a draft pick from Seattle as well. If they take Vladar, rejoice that you only lost your 3rd string goalie.

If they take zboril, smile and let them. He’s a solid player but not worth crying over. Seattle taking zboril is a win.

You are mistaken, Jason Botterill is not Boston's GM so highly unlikely to happen. You can take solace in the fact that after this year it's only 6 years at 9M per that is left. Seriously, don't be bitter about Hall. You got a decent young player and just make the draft pick a good one. Your team is playing better so they've moved on. You should do the same.

I have moved on, was just making a joke. I really didnt care about the Hall trade but was mad we dealt Lazar. Bjork has been stellar and hopefully that continues

I didn't get the Lazar part either. Maybe because Boston knew that Hall had Buffalo over a barrel with his no movement clause and demanded Lazar as part of the deal? Your team looks better already. There is always hope.
