How about Seattle picks him up & Tyjo gets bought out? Even if Stamkos doesn't stay on LTIR through next season, that's a lot of flexibility to re-sign Foote, a new LD, ABB, Colton, a backup goalie, and your AHL/taxi squad guys.

If they assign Tyler Johnson to the taxi squad that frees up about 1.1M. With Stamkos on LTIR that gives them room even if Rutta gets re-assigned.

Haha what is the point of including Julian Walker? He's a 34 year old we took in the 6th round back in 2006 that never left Switzerland. He's not coming over. After this long, I think the only reason we haven't taken him off our reserve list is just to prove a point.
