I feel bad for him, having chronic pain in the neck like he has, ever since he was drafted by buffalo. I doubt surgery would help, but wishing him the best.

I’d rather Kent Johnson and my 4 1sts of value and $10 mil of cap space over Eichel. No player is bigger than the team and we can field a deeper team long term without Eichel than with him.

I thought he was diagnosed with a herniated disk in his neck no? Cause I know someone who had the same injury and surgery solved their pain and irritation problems. Hopefully that will work for him too.

With how strong technology is now, and how good surgeons are, it’s likely the recovery time won’t be crazy long.

That's why I say trade him this summer...after next season you will see him pull what Hall did (Hall had the right to exercise his NMC) and he wanted to go to Boston and he did. LeBrun said there was a better offer from a western team but it wasn't in Adams hands it was Hall who had the control. Next summer Eichel's NMC kicks in and the Sabres will lose control when he demands a trade and anyone that thinks that isn't Eichels plan is naive. Eichel will want Boston or NY, and the Sabres will get pennies on the dollar.
