Biggest problem is Tyler Seguin declines. If the Cowboys Tent was open and the Stampede was a full go could be a different story, but Seguin would veto a move to Calgary I think

Yeah, that'll be a no. Monahan wouldn't even be our 1st line center, Hintz is better than him. He's one of the worst players when it comes to the playoffs, his effort is lackluster. He wouldn't fit well at all, plus the value isn't close at all.

Would adding Pelletier move the needle? Seguin is better than monahan for sure but his cap hit is substantially higher as well which is why I made this trade 1 for 1

Personally I would never want Monahan anyway, he’s the type of lazy player that doesn’t preform in the playoffs, while Dallas being a WAY better team in the playoffs than the regular season and a team they rely so much on effort, he wouldn’t be a good fit.

For instance, Seguin and Monahan played against each other in the playoffs. They both totaled 2 goals in the latest playoffs. Difference between those guys was that Seguin was playing with a broken hip.
