I hope Tomasino gets a chance at center. He seems to be lining up there with the Wolves of late. With Tolvanen, Afanasyev, and Evangelista I'm not as worried about the future on the wings, as I am about down the middle.

What 4 forwards are you protecting? I would be surprised to see Sissons go.

At this point, probably Arvidsson, Forsberg, Kunin + someone, maybe Jarnkrok. Depends, could see Sissons too, but I’d rather try to get rid of that contract if possible.

Shoot. Sissons is one of my favorite Preds. I think he's a guy that can play that bottom 6 role until he's 35. Will probably wear the "A" one day too. I'd hate to see him go, and if his contract is that bad why would Seattle take it?

I like Sissons, and think he and Jarnkrok have been rocks in our bottom 6 over the past few seasons. It's not that his contract is that bad, it's more that NSH has players right now (and within the next 1-2 seasons) that can move into the bottom 6 and he's kinda plateaued in terms of what he will be in NSH. I think he'd improve in a larger role in SEA, and they may prefer to select a few guys with contract certainty that they can build around -- Sissons being one of them. Could be a good leader during SEA's infancy in the NHL.

I think Cousins would be a good Sissons replacement as 4th line center, let Pitlick replace anyone in top9 if injured. Let jeannot sub in on 4th line
(I would hate to lose Sissons tho)
Would love to see Tomasino in top6 next year, whether the Preds let that happen we will see.

Very dynamic D core, would like another physical defensive defensemen, but there's no one I want to take out

Also I hope Ingram gets some quality starts this year in Chicago, I would love to see him in NHL next year, however; might be a tall task

The more I think about this the more I like it. But I just have a gut feeling that Poile won't let Sissons go. He will either protect him or leave him unprotected if he has strong reason to believe he won't be taken. He is a "glue" guy on the team and a really solid depth piece. There is a reason we gave him a 7 year contract.

Jarnkrok is having a career year, but most of us had trouble figuring out where to slot him in at the beginning of the season. Tbh I think I had him on my 4th line. He will be 30 next year with one year left on his contract. Sissons is only 27 and will be looked at as part of the core during this youth movement. It would suck to lose Jarny but he's never had more than 16 goals or 35 points in a season and he's probably not going to get much better from here. With how much Hynes loves that identity 4th line, I don't think he wants to lose Sissons (and definitely doesn
    t want Pitlick centering it).

    Forsberg-Duchene-Tomasino
    Tolvy-Joey-Arvy
    Pitlick-Granlund-Kunin
    Yak-Sissons-Olivier

Lastly, I don't see them getting rid of Boro either. Poile will keep him for another year as a locker room guy. Decent chance Farrance starts the year in the AHL and maybe works his way into the lineup once there is an injury. It is a cluster at LD with Farrance, Boro and Davies. But if Poile likes what he sees I think you could see him trade Ehky or let him walk in FA and make Farrance-Fabbro the 2nd pair.

I could see this direction as well.

I've always been a Jarnkrok fan and think Jarnkrok > Sissons now and in the future (though we have some prospects now that are ready to take that spot), but the contract certainty of Sissons may factor in there. I just love Jarnkrok's ability to play PP, PK, 1st line, 4th line, center, wing -- he can do anything you ask of him. Jarnkrok is good friends with Forsberg though, so maybe that is something Poile considers when trying to re-sign Forsberg. Either way, I don't think both players will be on NSH next season -- I just feel like we have too much depth knocking on the door right now for both to stay. But if I'm wrong and they do, I bet Granlund doesn't get re-signed. Then maybe you see a 3rd line of Jarnkrok - Tomasino/Pitlick - Kunin. I think the 4 forwards NSH protects are Forsberg, Arvidsson, Kunin, and Johansen/Sissons/Jarnkrok -- so I guess it comes down to who they protect.

I like the 3rd line you have there though -- Pitlick - Granlund - Kunin could really work.

I agree that Boro doesn't necessarily have to go, but he is not a necessary piece on this team -- and at $2m, that makes him expendable. Maybe he gets moved at the trade deadline next season.
