Not this season unless it's through waivers. The deadline has past

Yeah, why would you want somebody who has 20 points on the year?

Because we have a lot of power forwards, Oleksiak is more valuable to us. We already tried the Ritchie experience, never again, he’ll cost us something big by taking a dumb penalty, not worth it IMO. He fits well in Boston though.

The stars have to be in the position to do something big for him to cost them something big.

When you have pretty much your whole roster injured, it’s hard to compete. We’re currently fighting for the 4th spot.

Dallas is missing a couple players. Roster wasn’t that good in the first place.

A couple of injuries, read this: https://www.google.ca/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/DallasStars/comments/mkac6h/the_stars_have_lost_185_man_games_due_to_injury/

We made it to the Stanley cup with this roster, saying that it isn’t good is not true. We beat out Calgary, Vegas and Colorado in 7 game series. While having our best forward playing injured.

1. Thanks for the link to a reddit thread. Not all man games are created equal.
2. We? You’re not on the team.
3. I’m really not judging any teams by the bubble playoff. Dallas isn’t good.

You know what, never mind. For the Reddit thing it’s numbers you can take it or leave it. Dallas did better vs the Blues than the Bruins in 2019 and they did better in 2020 than them. Saying that Stars aren’t good is just delusional.

The team that’s behind the Blackhawks in the standings? 6th in the central is it? Congrats on finishing ahead of Detroit, but Dallas isn’t good.

This year they aren't and I've already told you why, but in past years they were good.

For frame of reference - the majority of the your games lost is with Seguin and Bishop who the team knew weren't playing before the start of the season due to their offseason surgeries. Its not a good idea to talk about injuries seeing as your GM could have addressed some of that knowing since last year those two players were out for the majority of the season. I mean the site I looked at showed Dallas at 209 man games lost and 72 of them were known before the season even started where as the Bruins are at 188 games - so I wouldn't suggest playing the injury card unless you are talking about a teams like Leafs, Flames, Islanders or kings who have had just about as low of an injury count you can get.

As for the trade part - moving any asset for Oleks is a band-aid right now seeing as our top 4 D are all hurt and a depth D man, moore, was just lost for the season. So it keeps Dallas fans happy to keep Oleks as it would be bad for the bruins to move assets to land a UFA to be a Band Aid right now.

Never said Nill was smart, he's not smart and should get fired. I also never said anything about the Bruins, I'm just saying that the Stars were injured a lot.

By the way, not that you would want to do it more but it's Nick in the trade, not Brett.

I know. I just think that Nick wouldn’t like us more than him because we dealt his brother and well it’s in the family, if Brett doesn’t like us I don’t think Nick will much either.
