Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Bowman impressed me, I thought we won 4/4 trades
Janmark deal | Bowman gets an A (Janmark gets a better return than Hall lol)
Highmore deal | Bowman gets an A- (gets a better player)
Bowey deal | Bowman get a B (Moves up a round, and that pick will be an early 4th)
Soderberg deal | Bowman gets a B+ (Two prospects for a veteran center that was scratched a lot recently)
I think Bowman did a smart move by committing to the rebuild instead of contending for the playoffs; which a lot of fans wanted the hawks to do

just side note on the Soderberg trade, Dickinson really isnt a prospect, hes more of an AHL/ECHL tweener. Still a nice return for a guy you guys signed late in the offseason.
Was an UFA signing guy for the Avs, hes AHL help

The best part about these moves, the hawks can still contend for a playoff spot. The only real loss on the roster was Janmark and he was traded for a second and third, value that I did not expect to be as good as it was, but the Hawks have been carried by their youth all year and its still all here. I doubt we really fall off of a cliff because of these moves. We're still gonna play well and even if were nowhere near a cup contending roster, that doesn't mean a playoff spot is out of the question.

Also, Ryder Rolston plays with the Slaggert brothers at Notre Dame, maybe hes put on a line with them next year which would be so cool to watch.

Idk why he was scratched recently maybe just so he doesn't get injured but he's played good for Chicago in his time here and I'd think he's a solid pickup from Sakic

I don't think Chicago should contend to for the playoffs, it makes no-sense, let's say get 4th seed they have to face Tampa or Carolina and they'll probably get destroyed and the 1st round pick worsens

Theres literally no reason not to, the pick will only drop like what, 3 picks at most in a draft with no consensus rankings? I'll take playoff experience for this young roster over a couple of draft spots, especially since we didn't buy at the TDL, we sold, everything from this point forward is house money and I think its worth trying to cash in.

a guy the Avs know and trust, he knows Bednar system. Dont have to worry about him getting up to speed. Just plug and play him in the line up rotating through the bottom 6 allowing guys to have some rest and nights off.

I do think the Avs main objective is to get guys they can play without fear so they can rest their big guns. Soderberg and Nemeth both do that. Not sexy but its smart buys

Rolston is a bit annoying bc they did trade up to get draft that guy last year. But clearly they soured on him fast after his year at Notre Dome was pretty poor.
