Freddy for a 1 & 2 turned into Steel and Comtois

A swap of 6th round picks turned into Josh Manson for us and Ryan Rupert for the Leafs

2011 number 22OA was traded to TOR for picks 30 and 39 (Tyler Biggs for Rakell and Gibson)

They want that for each, not both, and Liljegren doesnt have 1st round pick value

This just got dissed on downtown sports

The reported asks for either one of them are apparently:

1st+top prospect for Rakell (Which seems reasonable)
1st+Prospect for Manson (Which, coming from a Ducks fan, is a definite overpay. Manson is worth a 2nd+so/so prospect at this point, but his value to the Ducks is higher than it would be to most teams, especially someone like Toronto, who would then risk losing either him or Holl in the expansion draft, depending on which one you chose to protect). I honestly think GMBM would be content to keep Manson at this point unless someone overpaid for him, mainly because he can help ease Drysdale in by eating up the tougher minutes to start his career.

You can make the argument that Manson's trade value is equal to Liljegren's, with or without retention. But you cannot seriously suggest that Amirov gets you Rakell with 50% retention.

What you heard was that Anaheim is looking for a first and a prospect for each player, and is willing to accept a good second prospect instead of the first. Personally, I'd be happy with a 2021 second plus Hirvonen or Niemela for Manson.

Nobody on our side is suggesting that we could get Robertson or Sandin for any package from us, and I doubt that Amirov is in the mix, either.

A healthy(healthier?) Manson is a valuable asset for a team looking to make a couple of playoff runs. A Manson with questionable health is (unfortunately for us) not.
