Well it's nice to see that Benning knows how to make the best trades in the NHL. Obviously this will go down as a Vancouver win. Gaudette being a solid bottom six player is nothing compared to Highmore

This trade really isn't as bad as everyone else seems to think it is. Sure, not a very good deal for the Canucks IMO, but Highmore is a useful depth player and Gaudette was really struggling with the Canucks.

Again, I'm not saying it's a good deal for the Canucks. But is it really that awful?

Gaudette has more upside, but I think Highmore could be an excellent bottom 6 player for a long time. Closer than people think, but I'll give the Hawks the edge for now
