First he was worth a 5th. Then he was worth a 5th+AHL player. Now he's worth a 3rd.

Watch Bruins re-sign him and move him for a 3rd+AHL player next year.

Dorion is an interesting GM, he often makes good trades, but the one bad trade he makes looks really bad on his resume (remember stephan for a 2nd)

The Bruins have their three best defenseman currently out due to injuries and he would still be a regular when they're healthy.



Reilly is better than Vatanen and 18 teams have a waiver claim priority over the Bruins on Mete.

For a Top 90 2022 pick. What a steal by Ottawa.

The first two Mike Reilly trades suggest he's only worth a 5th round pick.

Ottawa gets a 3rd round pick for a better draft than the one this year and doesn't retain any salary.

Lowkey Dorion became a total meme GM after that We're a Team fiasco. After that, everything he has done has gone under some kind of unnecessary scrutiny, whether that move was memeworthy or not, or actually helpful for his team.

And having him throwing cups filled with something that looks like piss after losing a game in OT doesn't make him look any smarter honestly.

They could just have Mets for free but oh well

unsure as of now ... we have to find out, how it affects Mr Zub. Mr Rielly has been paired with everyone from Gudbranson, Zaitsev and Mr Zub. Mr Zaitsev has been playing with Chabot, but Mr Zub has been playing with Rielly.

But Boston's problem, is that they have what 4 NMCs... so they have to look forward to other issues don't they???

ig dorion used the montour & siegenthaler trades as a comparable. Too bad sweeney couldn't wait till tmr to see if the price dropped but ig there's that extra pressure to get it done since BOS 3 best dmen are out. dont hate it but dont love it. it is what it is.

His value has pretty much been set at a 5th in previous trades. Prior to Zub this year he was absolutely atrocious, easily our 2nd worst D for the first month or so (only Coburn was worse, legitimately surprised we got an asset for him but Lou is stuck in 2012). Because of your injuries I’m sure he’ll be a decent filler guy for now, but don’t pretend he’s a legit top 4 or anything, it would be much better if he was your 6/7 at best when everyone’s healthy. Overpay out of necessity on the Bruins behalf I guess, seems like you guys just need warm bodies at this point.

Seriously though. The fact that the pick is in 2022 and not 2021 makes Ottawa clear winners here.

Reilly has been great and the 3rd we got back will most likely not amount to close to what Reilly is right now. Easily a good trade for Boston. Ottawa should have resigned him if anything. Hopefully he returns in the offseason. Reilly-Zub has been our best pairing by far.

and next you know jim benning signs him to a 12 year 13M contract
