I think the Avs will trade for Nick Foligno, because I think that Sakic recognizes that their window is closing faster than it was and Landeskog, MacKinnon, Rantanen, etc. won't be in their primes forever. Foligno may not bring high end scoring, but that's not what the avs need. They need a veteran who can show up in clutch games.

I actually thought Sakic would go for Foligno too. But not at the price Dubas paid, apparently. Sakic doesn't seem to be willing to move 1st rounders or A prospects under any circumstances. Last year everyone was saying Hall to COL and Sakic was probably right to pass. Maybe that changes down the road if they don't win the Cup.

Someone said on Twitter tonight something like, "Hall and Seguin went 1-2 in 2010 Draft. They traded Seguin for basically nothing and then 10 years later they traded for Hall for basically nothing."

Who would've ever seen this coming?

Wow honestly I thought Hall would get the Sabres that little, but I guess he's having a crappy season too.

What do you think the Ducks could get for Getzlaf if they move him? I wouldn't be shocked if someone gave up a 1st ... at least a 2nd.

Fair deal, Suomela was a decent prospect for the Cuda, but I was expecting Barabanov to get moved to us for some reason. I like it because Sharks get a good prospect, and the Leafs get an NHL caliber player.
