I think Pateryn is going to play 3rd pair. Jaros hasn’t done bad but hasn’t done amazing. I’d think they’re gonna try Pateryn for a bit - as I don’t think he’s got value to flip. But we got a good deal for Dubnyk which is what matters. While small it was good tidy business.

Most people said that about dubnyk (and still do lol) but Dubnyk was lights out in some of his starts and good in most. I dont disagree that he could just become a paperweight but he does have a chance at being useful. Otherwise it's not like he can be much worse then Vlasic.

Yeah I suppose I think he's just a short-term cap dump though. The Avs buried him rather than playing him over the likes of Burroughs, K. Middleton, MacDonald, Renouf and Gilbert (All AHL players). I'd personally rather see what Jaros can do in more than like 2 games, but I guess Pateryn assisting in the tank wouldn't be too bad either.
