Description

To think people tried to convince me a hawks team with 77 would be objectively better. Must have meant subjectively eh? 2-5-0 since the mythic return.

In all seriousness, this might be one of the worst defensive games they’ve had all season. Just brutal watching the stars be patient and just wait for mistakes and penalties to take advantage of. Also, can someone please explain why Suter, who had tons of chemistry with Kane and cat, not playing with them? Also, BRING BACK MITCHELL ALREADY!!!

I don't understand how this defense hasn't improved, like at all, over the past 3 seasons. It really doesn't make any sense. Hasn't gotten better. Hasn't gotten worse. You could show highlights of this game with no sound and you couldn't tell if this was a game from 2018 or 2021. It's crazy.

Cant say I disagree with anyone of these comments.

I do think the defense has shown signs of improvement this year, but I do think part of what makes me hate Colliton is his inability to stick with what’s working. Suter on the top line comes to mind but even more importantly, this season is essentially house money as is, so keep beaudin and Mitchell in the lineup!

I agree with you, he never seems to stick to anything, it must be frustrating for the players too. How are they expected to build chemistry if they get new line mates every 2 games? Also, I feel like the defense goes through ups and downs every season but overall, there's nothing different. The only thing that changes is the name of the middle/bottom pair D men, but they all have the same subpar ceiling.

Cuz, and I hate antagonizing all the hawks fans here when I say this, if they don’t hit their ceiling or even come close to it, it doesn’t matter how good guys like Dach are. He’s just gonna be a wasted talent who “claims” to be a winner.

I got faith in beaudin and Mitchell, but now Colliton has to show faith too. Beaudin has 10 points in 8 games in the AHL for Christ sake!!!

I feel like there's certainly some more potential. I remember a lot of overhyped D prospects that were in the pipeline at one point and never panned out. Beaudin and Mitchell should definitely be up with this club. I'm still waiting for more out of Boqvist. I never liked that pick, but he's still very young.
