Despite how disappointing Hayton has been so far in pro hockey, there’s no reason for the coyotes to trade him right now. I know Poulin is a top prospect as well but Coyotes need centers in the worst way, not more wings

Big no from Dallas. The price for Oleksiak is way more than this whole package.

If I'm Dallas I'm going to pass. I think they could get more for Dicky and Oleksiak separately.

I was going to make Oleksiak for a 4th Rdr since we already traded him back and forth for that, lol

Even if the Kings were ok with trading their most tenured player in franchise history, they're not going to do it for that package. Why would the Kings, a team just coming out of a rebuild, trade away quality young players for an overpaid 30-year old winger and a 4/5 defenseman?

He got better since, he’s now worth a half decent prospect and a 2nd round pick.

Pettersson is much better than that homie.

People who know me know two things: my dislike for Rutherford the last few years and how mad I was that he traded Oleksiak back to Dallas for just a 4th. I know that he was traded for a 4th before this, but I mean, surely, there could have been a trade partner somewhere else that would have given more. Even if it was out of goodwill, he could have pretended like he got another offer first and it was too late to return Oleksiak back to Dallas lol. Or even better, keep him and force Sullivan to play him more! I loved his gameplay. And now, he'll likely be traded for quite a bit more than a 4th.

He's a decent 2nd pairing guy, but if he's your #3D, your team probably has some defensive issues. If he's your #5 guy, you're in great shape. Hence he's a 4/5 defenseman.

Then keep him. Cause the kings don’t want him or that contract

He was prob our 2nd best Dman last yr (his 1st full yr) then this yr he struggled some after coming back from an injury but for the last 2 months now, he is #1 or #2 on our Defense in almost every analytical stat...
Might have the best 1st pass out of zone too .... He is only 24, on a very fair contract and will be a Top pairing in NHL.

But I was mad too, we actually kept JJ & Guddy and traded Oleksiak instead... I think that was my breaking point w/ GMJR

I don't agree that he'll be a top pairing guy. Maybe on a team with a weak defense.

Kempe is the asset with the most value in the Kings trade. Brown and Zucker are pretty much a wash (the Kings won't trade Brown, he is the heart and soul of the team).

This would be a bad trade for LA. The only thing that really changes is that now Pettersson gets taken by Seattle instead of Clague in the expansion draft, at the cost of Adrian Kempe.
