Adam Larsson?? for that price no

There are 2 D men available in free agency that can be capable of playing top pairing minutes with Provy...Hamilton and Larsson. I would love Hamilton but I see him staying in CAR, so we pay a premium for Larsson.

Patrick sucks, that 3rd is meaningless and Voracek is good but he doesn't make DET any better now or in the future, and why would DET trade their 26 year old FWD for a 31 year old one?

So, why?

Voracek is much better offensive player than Mantha and who knows, maybe someone wants to take a chance on Patrick. This does make you better and deeper right now.

How can exactly will Voracek be a huge cap burden very soon? DET literally has nobody good to sign other than Hronek for like 3 years. You are getting the best player in the deal and taking on $2.5 mil of extra cap. But you keep thinking Mantha is even close to Jake...

Ryan Ellis is apparently available so theres a guy to target who is much better than Larsson and has a good cap hit for 6 more years. There are pieces on this team that other teams also value that can help fill a massive need for this team. I'm a huge Konecny fan but if Nashville asks for him as part of a Ellis trade I'm definitely thinking about it
