Description
Just messing around, thought about Miller+Klein but that doesn't clear enough cap. Ducks might be interested in Klein for exposure/keep grooming Theodore and plugging into their bottom pair for the time being.

Lindberg plugs right into their 4th line.

1st round pick would be in the mid 20's, decent value for a team that is starving for ELC to come up and perform.

Those pieces alone probably enough to get you an elite rental, the Ottawa pick added just because Vatanen is locked up for a few more years.

Girardi convinced to waive NMC or bought out in summer to ensure Vatanen is protected.
Very unlikely just from the sense that Ducks are in a win now mode, players coming back don't give them enough of a immediate impact.

From a Ducks perspective, it's fair value, but I wouldn't do it mid season. We are in a win now mode, it's the only reason we re-hired Randy Carlyle. At the end of the season and before the expansion draft I would do this deal though.

i would love this trade.. like draco said i can't imagine them doing it mid-season with playoff hopes still very alive.. pre-expansion DONE! i think this move would really help the rangers get the cup this year when their forwards return
