Description
From @DevilsInsiders Twitter

"On 'Real Kyper at Noon', @RealKyper, says the #NJDevils have 'concrete offers for a 2nd and 3rd/4th or 2nd and a prospect' for Kyle Palmieri. They are sitting on them and trying to squeeze more...they want to turn that 2nd into a 1st."

I am just speculating the list of teams and potential offers they'd like.
Looks like a stand-off..... whomever offers that 1st picks first, wins.

If that's the case, I think he would have already traded Palmieri. Last year, he made trades very early which definitely helped increase value. Maybe he's taking a different approach but you may be correct.

I think he is playing teams off one another.
He is waiting for a first to be out on table.
Don’t think Hall trade impacts unless it takes one of the suitors away from table.

I don’t think he would wait for Foligno trade. Maybe Hall trade. If anything, he may want first-mover advantage.

            Buyers market?
How many top-6 wings are available? Two, maybe three?
How many teams are looking for one? Six? Eight?

And there is plenty of cap space out there. Twice as many people on LTIR as there were at last years deadline.

Yeah buyers market. Every team is losing money. Take the obvious out of the buyers side in BUF, DET, OTT, ANA, NJD, LAK. Then take teams that don’t have cap space TBL, VGK, STL, WSH, and teams on the bubble that aren’t going to spend assets in SJS, AZ, NSH, CHI, CBJ, CGY, VAN, DAL, throw in teams that are tight to the cap like TML, COL and you have 20 teams. What teams will legitimately use LTIR to go for? People think they just because teams have space even with LTIR that owners who have been getting crushed have to sign off on it. Not saying it is impossible and it might take someone doing something but it’s 4 days to the deadline and there hasn’t been the cascade of small moves yet. Throw in the XD and if a team acquires anybody that isn’t going to be a UFA at the end of the year they may have to alter their XD plans you have a whole lot of uncertainty. And imo that uncertainty gives buyers the upper hand. Just my thinking.

Ryan O'Rourke, to me, is ranked above Addison. I have him pegged as sort of a Parayko style guy, and a guy who's going to wear a letter for this organization some day. He's really been coming into his own lately as an 18 year old defenseman in the AHL. He's also really the only LD prospect of note in our system, and with Suter beginning his descent, we're probably going to want him around in 2-3 years.

O'Rourke and Addison are the heirs apparent to the defense, and the list of guys I would include them in a trade for is very short, even if neither of them are thought of in the Byram, Sanderson, Drysdale tier of guys.

For me O'Rourke was the best pick MN made last draft.
