Why would the Blues do this? They're probably not making the playoffs this season so why not just sign Armia in the offseason?

Blues have an abundance of players we can put on the powerplay, but that isn't the case of players that can play pp and pk. Our three go to players for the pk are O'RY Barbashev and Sunquist. With Bozak, Sanford and others filling in. Most Blues fans have Sanford's bags packed and Bozak will probably not be resigned. I can see a fit with Armia so they resign him.

yeah i think its a good fit too, probably wouldnt do it unless I knew there was an extension coming with him though

I still think we make the playoffs, we just need time to get Schwartz Parayko Thomas and Vladdy to 100% and they will start clicking. Also Sean Farrell is not an easy player for Montreal to give up.

I think Habs would want to give up picks instead of Farrel as he is just breaking record after record this year and will be interesting to watch at Harvard next year but this is a good deal for them since he isnt signed yet.

I know you said Blues wouldnt be interested in Lehkonen but if they actually wanted a pk player for Dunn, Lehkonen or Byron would be your guys.
