I hope the Leafs don't trade for Taylor hall. If they do, I sure hope they don't massively overpay like this offer. Hall has 2 goals in 37 games! I'd rather call up Sabourin to play on that line. At least he would bring some toughness.

He definitely would bring toughness. Probably get caved in by the other team and cost a dozen goals. But at least they will be tough while doing it.

Bud you have not watched/followed the Sabers (why would you), it's a no thank you on Montour. Bogosain would definitely play over him. Montour would be the 7th damn on this roster. Rather have defensive depth that can play defense. That said, I would be interested in this trade to add him as your 8th damn, if only to see the leafs give up a soft pick for the player hockey people wanted to trade Nylander for.

yeah true. Hall's -21 doesn't exactly give me any confidence he wouldn't be a defensive liability as well.

Well that would be dumb. You probably lose both guys in the off-season, you probably don't get more than a 3rd for BM (although, maybe you get a bit more), and maybe you don't even get a first for Hall this year. He also gets to pick where he goes. Amirov is worth more than a late first round pick in a year with very little in-person socuting.

Firstly, he plays on the worst team in the league, and +/- is an irrelevant stat. He might not be that good defensively, but he is still elite at getting the puck out of the zone. And he might not be finishing this year, but is a high-end playmaker. He will set up JT and Nylander for a ton of goals. Now a debate could be made on better utilizing your assets and cap space- I don't think Hall will cost a ton (I think it's going to be a soft market/he can pick where to go), but you probably have to send an extra pick to another team to fit him in. But it's no question he would make the leafs better.

Disagree. He made the Coyotes worse last year.
