Mrazek isn't signing for that, especially not to be the backup. Im assuming you're paying who you think the starter is more cash.

Nedelkovic has already passed him and is younger and rfa rights so they can sign him to much lower cap hit and then bring back Reimer or sign a different ufa for a tandem role

I was on board with the Taylor Hall and Montour trades, but then you just went completely off the rails. I offer the 2 3rd round picks received in the Montour deal for Bennett and Virtanen, both teams will accept. Although you might wait until the draft to make those 2 trades because I’m still not sure if the Sabres will use a 7 to 3 protection scheme or four forwards and four defensemen.

Again? Really? For the thousandth time Boston is not trading Debrusk for Hall.

Olofsson yes. Reinhart yes. Eichel yes. Anyone else on your team....no.

FFS were still on this DeBrusk for Hall crap? If Sweeney does that he should be fired immediately.

A top 4 defenseman and the 33 o/a pick are a affair return for this player. If someone could convince me that the nhl is going to start increasing penalties and making the power play a bigger part of the game I would be more reluctant to prove him. He has a tremendous shot, on of the best in the world. He offers basically nothing else. He is a liability everywhere outside of the pp. 10 of the 14 lowest penalty per game seasons in nhl history are the last 10 years. 5 on 5 play is what decides which teams are good consistently. He is a horrendous 5 v 5 player.

Ya he needs to work on his 5 on 5 but I see it getting better over time. He is quite proficient defensively and he is a great skater. As you said, he has an elite shot, I'd say top 5 shot (Matthews, Kuch, Pasta, Petey are the better ones I can think of off the top of my head). Main point is that we aren't trading a young, team controlled forward with a high ceiling for a great shutdown D who will walk in free agency

No way should you give up a young player with term for an older one who only plays for bad teams. Hall wouldn't re sign in Boston, they're too good.
