Description

Only way that I would give up a 1st or Studnika would be for a young player with term (or RFA) who is already performing at a top 6 level. Coyotes get back into the 1st and pick up a young C with top 6 potential. Also save $ in the short term as Studs has longer to go on his rookie deal.

The Murray deal stabilizes the left side a bit as he is more reliable in his own end then Lauzon or Zboril. NJ gets a young bottom 6 winger that needs an opportunity for playing time and another dart to throw at the draft.

I realize that this has Bs over the cap but the Murray $ will be prorated so it’s not the full ticket.

Of course all of this is moot if Tuukka isn’t 100%

ARI could want more and I don't think the Bruins want to move Studnicka. For the NJ deal, it depends how much the Devils value Senyshyn, wouldn't be surprised if they want a 3rd instead.

What do you think a Garland deal looks like? And what’s the highest you’d go if you’re the Bs?

As for Murray, are you saying Zach plus the 3rd or just the 3rd and if it’s Zach and a 4th or just a 3rd, which would you rather do as a Bs fan?

Per Ellliotte Friedman from Sportsnet, the Coyotes don't want late picks otherwise they want prospects included. The Bruins are probably picking late and they only have couple B prospects so I don't see a Garland to BOS trade that would make sense for both sides. I think it's better for the Bruins to trade for a rental like Palmieri.

I don't know if NJ would prefer to free up the roster spot and give a chance to someone they already have in their organization or if they would take Senyshyn. 3rd+Senyshyn, if they want to do it, fine.

I guess that my issue is if Palmieri is going to cost a 1st anyways, I’d rather go one step further and include Studs and maybe another prospect to get Garland who helps them for this year and the future. I get that AZ wants a high pick and if a team with a top pick want to trade it for CG then I’d tip my cap to them, but if I’m Sweeney I’m calling everyday till I get an answer

Value-wise, Murray deal is ok. He is probably worth 3rd or 4th.
Assuming Arizona declines Garland offer...
So maybe NJD offers Palmieri and Murray for Studnicka, Senyshen and picks (and whatever retention is needed).
Or similar type deal.
Devils want young players over picks.

The management doesn't want to trade Studnicka because they see him as top6 C after Krejci/Bergeron are gone and he's the only forward/center with top6 upside, that's why they're reticent to include him in a deal (teams probably tried to acquire him in the past). I understand their decision but I get your point too.
