The discussion has to be had, coming from a die hard Oilers fan.

Neal has sat on the taxi squad for quite some time now, although it’s weak we have scorers on the left side (Ennis, Kahun, RNH) to have Lucic complete a grind line a combination of Kharia, Arch & Kass could be a great addition to our team.

Yes a better fit maybe. But it's not like Neal is being played appropriately either. Neal on MvDavids wing and drop Nuge to Driasaitls line and Kahun in the bottom 6. Neal can still be bought out and doesn't need to be protected this expansion draft. Plus would probably cost less to move if they don't want to buy him out.

Don’t worry man. If Lucic is smart, he would waive. I highly doubt Seattle would pick him, so he should definitely open that spot for another player.

I know how to answer this. They both don’t fit on our lineup, because Neal is another power forward, and Lucic is just a hitter. For hits, and fights we have Nurse, Kassian, Archibald, etc. For power forwards we have Puljujarvi, Chiasson. They are just overpaid. If I had to chose one to have on Edmonton, it would be Neal, because he doesn’t have a NMC, and his contract doesn’t have bonuses, also you can buy him out next year for only 4 years 1.9M per year.

I don't think it really matters. They both suck. The oilers win the trade because Lucic probably has to be protected in the expansion draft and can't get bought out. The deal wasn't as big of a win as a lot of Oilers fans thought though that's for sure.
