I like the idea of bringing brassard back for depth. He knows the team and the system and he seems like someone everyone likes in the locker room. Although I agree with you that no one can replace lee at this point I think we have to make a trade for Taylor hall or Kyle palmieri for the right price. This team’s window to win is now and they can help a lot on the top line. It sure beats the hell out of having Leo komorov on the top line.

I'd be fine with Palmieri or Hall for a couple 2nds but I have a bad feeling lou is going to give up major assets and I'm not sure either of those guys will put the islanders over the top
