I loved Thornton and Marleau as a kid, and I want both of them winning the cup before they call it quits.

honestly with the way Gal played for us and especially tonight I dont think Dubas is gonna add to the forward core. I think if anything is added its gonna be to the D core

I think a Engvall Marleau swap with the sharks sending a pick is a realistic move we could see. Marleau at 50% is a good flex option for your 12th man

Honestly on paper they're almost equal to COL. Probably even better.

Then it becomes a battle of more abstract things like willpower, fighting spirit, vigor and all that jazz. And Leafs always tend to choke out on these departments.

As for the value...imo that's too much for Hertl, but all things considered anyone who wants to pry the guy out has to overpay.

Is Kerfoot back on wing? Because if so I would think the leafs could definitely use a move swapping Kerfoot for a real 3C.

The leafs have either great prospects or whatever prospects and I’ve seen pitchforks come out when you involve Niemla (that Finnish d they have). So I was mixed cause I think the above modification with the first is a underpay unless the additional prospect is better but didn’t know who fit the mold; and this amirov robertson felt ideal for both teams (not touching the leafs d prospects).

I talked about Hertl's value with one Avs fan on this site and we came to a sort of conclusion that an "acceptable" deal for the guy was Timmins+Kaut+Compher+Jost+1st. You can tell me if that sounds fair from SJ fan perspective, but in my opinion at least that should create discussion.

Now if we were to fill the blanks on this one, I feel like the offer should be in the ballpark of Amirov+Liljegren+Kerfoot+1st. Or something like that. Feels a bit light though - especially if SJ is set to retain half of Hertl's contract.

Interested but just not comfortable giving up Robertson. Change him to Liljegren and add a pick or something if you want but I'm way too high on NRob for this
