Also, it’s unlikely the others make any huge moves so it makes sense to include just leafs and Jets. Habs don’t need a whole lot, a star winger maybe, but unlikely that happens.

Bergevin said he's planning on being quiet, but there was an article on The Athletic that revealed that GMs don't believe it and they believe he's 100% going for Ekholm. I guess the reduced quarantine will change a lot of things. Targeting a 4C also makes sense.

I think a top prospect package is too much for a pending UFA in Savard.
I think the package listed in the post is pretty close to what it would take

Still no reason for the Leafs, Jets to make bad trades. What does 7 day mean? Well the 7 day countdown starts when the player enters the country. Being in a hotel room, for 7 days doesn't make the player ready of NHL action.

PLD had to deal with it and he seems fine now, although it took him a while to warm up and rightfully so. 7 days is still clearly better than 14 though.
