Why would pavel come back to nhl?... If he ever did..why Toronto? He's a CAREER REDWING..even though we stink.. He'd only play 4 Detroit otherwise he'd never left..sorry

He comes back because he is a good friend of Shanahan and comes back to win a cup in Toronto and the opportunity to play with Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander, Thornton and Spezza.

You and I both know that he can still play........he is an incredible player and would be a one man wrecking crew on the powerplay.

& we both know it's a pipe dream... Hes not coming back & if so only would play for RedWings..sorry.. Dream about pavel bure or jagr ..there ya go.. Peace

He is still playing in the KHL where Leafs have a great relationship with Dan Milstein who is his Russian player agent........This would be a great way for Pavel to end his career on a high note in the hockey world.......Can you image a line of Thornton, Datsyuk and Spezza and then watching the magic man play on the powerplay with Matthews, Marner, Tavares, Nylander, Thornton and Spezza.......priceless.

Facts..... He left Detroit to retire in Russia playing in front of family... I've followed wings & the media here for decades.. Stop pipedreaming.. Pavel is done with NHL..& as said if he ever did come back.. He'd only play 4 redwings...do some research ..move on..youre welcome

I was under the assumption that he got tired of playing on the Wings whose glory days were over and suspect that he may also not have been a fan of Babcock as well like a lot of players.

Metro Detroit ..yes..i followed wings & media here daily since 1993 ..& it's history.. Pav is done.. He had a situation with his kid..so he left for home.. He didn't leave to spite ..he felt he had to..for his family.. Leafs mean nothing to him..nor other teams.. Only Detroit in nhl.. & he's not coming anyway.. He's staying home in Russia with his family

Yes he wasn't fan of Babcock at the end..thats true..but it was family that made him leave
