If this is true then The Athletic should never be allowed to talk about hockey again. And maybe Hugo will never play in Tampa, but we certainly aren't trading him for this

You're right I wouldn't, but I don't believe these pieces would be too big. Glendening wouldn't play in the playoffs and Stecher would be 6th D-man if he did. I'd rather keep what we got without giving up our best goalie prospect

Glendening would play! He leads the league in faceoff percentage, cooper loves him. great defensive forward who can play against the other teams top line...like he did against tampa a couple years ago

Those are not cup winning moves. The Athletic has to stir the pot once in awhile, but Foote & Rutta > Stecher and we have multiple 4th centers who can win >50% of faceoffs and play a hard game.

Who would he play over? If we want faceoff defensive guy we can just play Stephens
