1. Oilers can only do cap in cap out this deadline. 2. Andersen has arguably been worse than Koskinen, who is the #2 behind a hot Smith. Beyond that, why would any team do anything like this for a struggling pending UFA? Bouch or the 1st alone, even with Koskinen going the other way, would just be a loss of assets for a potential wash. Not like Andersen has proven to be specifically more clutch in the playoffs than either Smith or Koskinen.

Without exaggerating at all, not a single Oilers fan would give either the 1st or Bouchard for Andersen, let alone both. Why would we give a decade + of a potential top pairing RHD, who is on his ELC and team controlled for the foreseeable future (in a flat cap era) for a UFA goalie who would be our 3rd stringer (making $5M) at his current level of play? This isn't even considering the fact that you have the Oilers taking on $5M in cap.

Oilers would not even finish reading that trade offer. Anderson is terrible, i wouldn't trade either of our goalies straight across for him. I wouldn't trade Bouchard for Nylander straight across he is going to be a top pairing Right shot D for a long time. WSH & NSH also say no, Maybe Arizona might agree?
