With Boston I'd try and get a player who might be held back because of what is on the big squad. I don't know their prospects but that is the idea

I really like the trade with the Isles. I don't want Loui, even it's for a year. And we already got rid of Moore, we don't need him back. I agree that we could send Vats, Carrick, and Tennyson to whomever would want them. Keep Zajac unless we have the option to send him to a surefire Cup contender for a mid round pick, then re-sign him in the offseason to a more team friendly deal. I think we shouldn't give up on the Goose just yet.

Zajac woudl have to be a 4th line C imo and it seems liek it wont be a good fit. McLeod has shown he can win FOs, Goose woudl need to sign a VERY team friendly contract from to want him back, not sure he would

Yea McLeod is getting better at FOs, but Zajac can defend with the best of them. Unless the rise in Zacha's play stays for the rest of the season, and he develops into what us Devil's fans know he can be, I'd keep Zajac. I would sign Goose back on a 1yr/$3 mil extension to see if he still wants it, knowing that we could always flip him at the deadline for a late pick and a bucket of pucks.

I doubt Gusev wants to stay with Ruff always playing him in the bottom 6. He would get a better opportunity on a different team. Zajac won't have a spot on the team with other players coming up the system. I rather see him try to win a cup.

There should be better options than Zajac & Dell but it's not the worst.
