I would think toronto would counter with "anderson for tristan jarry" and pretend you didnt imply they have cap space for zucker or interest in trading dermont before thier playoff run

If they're rebuilding, Pettersson is someone they would flip for more than half of what they'd expect for Reinhart. If not, they pass.

Seeing as I see Petterson thrown into every trade scenario for Pittsburgh, who the hell is going to want him? If he were that great you would be wanting to keep him. The reality is you gave him a big contract before he earned it and now you’d like to get out of it.

If Buffalo were going to consider trading Reinhart it would begin with Rust/Kapanen, Rikkola, and a 1st. That may seem like a lot because it is, but that’s what a player who can score 50 to 60 points a season and is still young is worth.

First of all: your offer is fair and Pit probably considers it around Rust rather than Kapanen in order to keep the cap close and get younger.

This thread is hilarious lol 😂. Zucker a 28 year old 40-50 point player can’t even get a 1st. But Reinhart, a 25 year old who is a 50-60 point player in line for a pay raise above 5.2 million is worth a cheaper top 6 player that’s similar point wise, a bottom pair d, and a 1st. That’s kinda funny.

Capfriendly people want a top six forward, bottom six forward, top pairing Dman, three first round picks and your first born daughter in order to take a rental or something silly. Happens in every thread

That may be, and if we’re both Sabres fans we’re on the same side and have no reason to be going after each other. In any event the Sabres certainly cannot afford to give away Reinhart. They would need a return that would be considered a win without question.
