I still don't understand why anyone thinks the Avs need someone like Hall. On a good team, he could be a decent addition but he doesn't address the need for a good 3C or a better backup G. Now, there is value in getting Compher's contract off the books but he is a known quantity and can help the team win if for no other reason than he is a decent PKer. A lot hinges on whether or not Frankie and/or EJ come back before the end of the season but Hall would be a big-time luxury; he fixes none of the issues the Avs currently have.
