Worst case scenario -- NSH has a winning record over this stretch (playing mainly non-playoff teams). Then we get Josi, Ellis, etc -- all the IR guys -- back, and Poile thinks that is our "deadline acquisition". NSH ends up either barely missing the playoffs or making the playoffs and losing in the 1st round. And all of those UFA's and tradeable assets are lost for 2 years in a row now, and NSH is still just a middling team with no real direction.

Already mentally prepared for the deadline acquisition line.

Especially if this is Poile's last kick at the can as GM im sure hes not going to be quick to sell if there is a glimmer of hope.

Regardless of standings, Preds should sell Haula and probably Granlund (bc of potentially assets coming back and a healthy duchene)
