I think they will get much more return for those three. Ekholm looks like a great fit for Montreal too now that Chariot is out. Depends on how they do leading up to the trade deadline though I expect.

Haula and Granlund certainly aren't an improvement over Kerfoot and Engvall. So do you want to give up the rest for 1.5 years of Ekblom? Leafs lose term on the forwards and also the over two weeks before those three incomers can even practice.

You don't need to worry because the Preds would not accept this.

I'm happy. Expiring contracts on on Haula and Granlund who have a combined 18 points in 49 games aren't worth much to any NHL team except to team who might be wracked with injuries.
