needed to happen. Lehtonen was not going to get a game in. He honestly came at the wrong time as no pre-season and the Leafs having Dman depth (for the first time) made it where he was not getting a spot. He actually should work out nicely in Columbus and give them some much needed offense. Not sure about the guy we got but gonna have to do some digging

he was fine the games he got in but the issue was there was no preseason and Keefe for some reason preferred Dermott even though Lehtonen generated more offensive chances.

Could be. His AHL numbers havent looked great with the Monster but maybe with the Marlies he will do better. We got now 2 Candidates for starting goaltender and 2 for backup so a future tandem could be in the works

Leafs are happy to get a true goalie prospect. Woll is iffy as an NHLer, and Scott has been injured for two years.
Don't like losing a Dman for hopefully a long playoff run, but Marincin, Rosen, the currently injured Sandin and Liljegren can be NHL. capable

Curious to think who you think are the potential starters and who are the potential backups are. I think all the prospects at goal the leafs have are all kind of in the same boat.

Oh, ok, that makes sense. Going by age, I suppose the younger guys would have more potential to be a starter.

depends cause Vehviläinen working with the Marlies goalie coach could turn around and become the guy he was in Liiga. Columbus seemed to not be the right fit for him. Who knows could have a potential Kevin Lankinen
