Description

Jarmo Kekalainen is known for making gutsy trades and it's no shock that Columbus has trouble luring top-end talent to sign. Leafs offer Nylander, Holl & 1st for Seth Jones & Nick Foligno (retained).

Kekalainen gets a solid return for Jones in Nylander who is signed for another 3 season beyond this one. In addition, ~$23.77M of Nylanders contract has already been paid by the Leafs.

Not sure Columbus does this. Maybe they are open to moving Seth, maybe not. If they are, I would imagine they want a C coming back.

3 of your defense core need raises at the same time, both will get hefty raises.

Trading away one of their better D prospects with next to no quality draft picks to compensate is a bad idea.

Team looks good on paper, but I'm not sure both these trades (maybe one of them) happening at the same time is a good idea.

Holy sh*t you are giving away Nylander and a 1st for an average defenceman at best who is only good at endurance. He is so overrated. Seth Jones sucks.
