I think edmonton protects Archibald. He's the heart and soul of the bottom 6.

Oilers don’t let archibald go they would protect him.

Not a fan of the hall signing we could sign a solid LW for 4-5 mil and save some cap space to bolster the bottom 6 a bit or get a solid top 4 dman.

Don’t see Freddy leaving Toronto unless it’s a major overpay. If you’re trading koskinen away might as well bring back another goalie say maybe kuemper. Or we could just ride out his last year rather than having to pay in picks and prospects to get rid of him. So if we are going to trade him we trade for another goalie or, we keep him for his last year and sign a 1B goalie instead of a backup like a drieger, halak, raanta, somebody along those lines.

Definitely, as of today I'd protect him over Kahun, although even with RNH signed I think Archie is my 6th protection on fwd and either Kahun or Benson the 7th protected. But regardless, Archie is definitely among the top 7F protection list.

I'm not sure where Benson fits. He doesn't have good speed or forechecking so I don't know if he can crack the bottom 6.

Yeah it really just depends on how his AHL season goes, and whether Kahun plays okay from here on out. Either way, don't know why Seattle would take either forward when they can likely have Jones/Lagesson or even a taking a chance on Klef, depending on what Holland feels is the best strategy for the 3rd D protection.

I just love hall and i think with his recent performence edmonton probbaly coul get him for max 6 if we dont protect archie he is gone totonto cant afford to keep freddy because of the riely situation so he aint going there especially with zero contract talks so far with stolarz as a backup we just need a consitant starting goailie detrot has the cap to take over koskonin and i think he would be a good fit seeing as they can do the 1a 1b think with koskonin and gries. Airzona wants a first for there goaltenders so id ont see them comming over because holland wont give up a first. And if you look at our defence here our top 4 is strong but thats if klef and barrie return

Sure, if Archie is the 8th fwd Seattle would probably love to scoop him. But which 7 fwds did you think would be protected ahead of Archie when you made this projected roster to allow him to be on the outside looking in?

He's been battling concussions for the past few years. He's likely done.

Even if he does come back, why would the Canucks take on more money with Neal 5.75M for 2 seasons vs 3.5M for 2 seasons

The Oilers are trying to dump Neal. What purpose does Neal have on the Canucks...especially if he's eating 5.75x2? Overpaid and old.
Ferland can just be stashed on LTIR.
