Am I the only person that thinks this beyond a massive overpay by Vancouver?? Miller + a top 10 pick??

Could definitely make it lottery protected, but this year's draft isn't deep, nor is there any semblance of a legit ranking past the top 10 so really, it's more of a crapshoot than most years. Plus Andersson is an absolute STUD with a STUD contract for 6 more years and he's Calgary's best defenseman so it would take a lot to pry him away.

Besides, even if the Canucks were lucky enough to come away with a pick high enough to take Power, Clarke, Hughes, or Edvinsson, who's to say they'll be better than Andersson?

Edit: Out of those 4, Clarke is the only RHD so Andersson fills a need that 3 of those guys do not.

Yeah, this would be a case of both teams declining. Anderson is looking like the flames go to guy of the future. I don't think he's in the elite tier but reminds me a bit of what Ekholm is now. I think Milller means too much for Vancouver, and certainly they wouldn't want to add another pick on top of it.
