Nashville probably wouldn’t have any interest in taking Compher they may look at say Calvert or another UFA.

I quite like this. There's a lot of flexibility here, as Haula can slide to 4C and have Granlund at 3C if you want to roll 4 decent C's. The money matches up well too.

Poile will take Conpher, and he will like it.

nashville doenst touch this IMO....they will get more for Granlund from other teams and wont have to take on Compher. Plus this is not a trade that aligns with how sakic has taken on the deadlines,

a 3rd or 4th for Haula rental is what he has done the past fews, hes not sending roster players that they still seem to believe in and play heavily despite his struggles, for rentals

too much for a rental. unless the avs are extending one of both of them i wouldn't move kaut.

Kaut is included to partly make it worth it for Nashville to take Compher to balance money.

If a 3rd or 4th for Haula is all Sakic does it would be pretty underwhelming considering that this team is in the best year of their cup window.

id give compher away for free but would rather just hold him instead of paying someone to take him. i think he'll rebound eventually.

I agree with you as this is the best year for the cup run on makar's ELC but i think a better target would be staal. Kadri seems to only show up 1 outta every 3 games and if we have staal he can bring some scoring depth and step up when kadri is coasting.

Normally I would say yes that would be underwhelming but with an upcoming expansion draft, big extensions to navigate, and looming cap space issues if Avs cant get off LTIR to apply makar bonus money. I could see them being very cautious and hold onto assets in case they need them this summer for additional moves to ease the cap or roster.
