Eichel is a 24 YO top 10 center with 5 years left on his contract. Buffalo will not move him unless it’s an overpayment. It’s going to cost at least one of kakko/laf + 1st rd pick. This isn’t going to be a quantity over quality trade.

Probably because some Rangers fans offer a bunch of scraps for Eichel. It has to be quality trade over quantity.

Zibanejad is a elite 1st centre. Probably second best in East next to Eichel. Highest goals per game last season. Dahlin/Reinhart be would be about right if Zib had term. Maybe Rags add pick.

There's zero chance you get Eichel by taking the top 7 or 8 assets on the team, and making them unavailable in a trade for Eichel.

Your probably not kidding, which makes this sad. East Centers Id take over Zib: Matthews, Eichel, Barkov, Point Maybe Barzal, Tavares as well. One season doesn’t make a player as all the guys above have done it consistently. And no, Buffalo doesn’t trade Reinhart and Dahlin for Zib. See OP, this is the kinda stuff Buf fans have been seeing regarding Eichel

Not even close. Zibanejad is horrible THIS year

Zib was great last season, definitely played at an elite level - but it was predictable that he would regress this season because of his ridiculously high shooting %. He’s also not much of a play driver - he turns 28 in April and it’s possible he will be nothing more than an average 1st line C going forward.

He had Covid. the statistics say that he has just been unlucky. He is still top10 centre.

Or maybe he had a career year last year just like Strome. Many players have had Covid are still producing just fine. He is not top 10.
