Imagine if player values were 100% decided based on how many points they get, or if it were based on a super small sample size.
These are not in defense of any of the trades or hot takes, however:
-Hornqvist (Great trade for Florida. Pitt moved him to free up a bit of space, but took back more money long term. Matheson is a plug).
-Josh Anderson (1 pt. in last 6 games).
-Max Domi (Had 1 good year)
-JVR (23.8% shooting percentage...seems unlikely to continue, but JVR is a good guy. All of his underlying numbers are pretty much in line with his career averages.)
-Backstrom (Did someone say he was done? Interesting small sample size numbers though...23.8% shooting percentage, and the worst possession numbers of his career)
-Matthews is, and has been awesome.
-As
@Ritzy said, Nylander living rent f*cking free. (Also, Nylander's numbers are actually better than Wilson's, so there's that...)
-Vanecek's numbers are exactly league average, so there's that. Lankinen=GOAT, and MAF=GOATx2. Also, small sample size alert.
-McAvoy is good $hit.
