IMPORTANT TO READ:
this is based on an excellent idea from nalzugaray12 and if you need to better understand it, go read his post.
To recap it QUICKLY:
Buffalo most likely wont trade Eichel within the division, and bruins dont have any top tier prospects so they likely arent the target. HOWEVER if they ARE a possible target, here are the important points:
1. PASTA and MCAVOY are totally untouchable, and while he didnt say it, I think its important to note that they are nearly worth as much as Eichel as is so anyone saying "it starts with Pasta and a 1st" is totally wrong lmao
2. Eichel wanted out before the season, and if he continues to want out and struggle, his value will just keep getting lower and lower. Nobody needs to "overpay" to get him, quite the opposite actually (thats just facts lol)
Its pretty easy and obvious, so no calling me (or others) homers or anything dumb like that :)
I wrote a description for the trade, but then I refreshed and it disappeared so all you need to know is that it meets the Value correctly (fact), but its not a big quality piece like a Kakko or something, LIKE I SAID (so its not gonna happen, but if bruins WERE to be the team, this trade would be most accurate)
THESE ARE FULLY HEALTHY LINES (without Miller cuz he is a mess, but we love him lol)
This is it! Thats what they get. Again, bruins are not gonna be the target because they cant offer quality rn (a top tier prospect), but this trade clearly is worth the correct value!
I never said you were a homer. I think Studnika could pencil in as a 2C in the NHL level. Good player, but not a “blue chip
Prospect”
As for the trade, like everyone else has said extensively, quantity does not equal quality.
You don’t get Eichal without moving a legitimate blue chip prospect / young player. Boston does not have that. There is zero trade to be made, especially since they are divisional teams.
As I SAIDDDD!! BUT THATS THE POINT OF THIS POST! This is the only trade that the bruins would do, and they are not wrong to do it!
Lmao we agree, you are just tryna say what im saying lol
and yeah the other guy i dont agree with, bruins dont have a top prospect lol, just a bunch of solid ones

Let’s re-visit this topic in a few years. Lauzon not good because he’s not a points guy? He plays top pairing on a top team. Seems pretty legit to me. And for those that don’t know, Lohrei gonna be an excellent NHL player. I’d also think Laukko has a lot of value. Because they weren’t drafted in round one they don’t qualify as excellent prospects according to some. Jake Virtanen 6th OA stinks. Just putting things into perspective.

As someone who loves the bruins, and is often called a homer (albiet for no reason), i can tell you right now that you are severely over-rating the bruins guys
I genuinely hope everything you are saying comes to be, cuz that would be awesome. But as it is right now. Lauzon is a top 6 dman with top 4(ish) potential playing with McAvoy because they are a good pairing, NOT because he is a top 2 guy. Studnicka is a top 6 prospect, NOT a top tier prospect, etc.etc.etc.
