Plausible Idea

Explications
IMPORTANT TO READ:
this is based on an excellent idea from nalzugaray12 and if you need to better understand it, go read his post.
To recap it QUICKLY:
Buffalo most likely wont trade Eichel within the division, and bruins dont have any top tier prospects so they likely arent the target. HOWEVER if they ARE a possible target, here are the important points:
1. PASTA and MCAVOY are totally untouchable, and while he didnt say it, I think its important to note that they are nearly worth as much as Eichel as is so anyone saying "it starts with Pasta and a 1st" is totally wrong lmao
2. Eichel wanted out before the season, and if he continues to want out and struggle, his value will just keep getting lower and lower. Nobody needs to "overpay" to get him, quite the opposite actually (thats just facts lol)
Its pretty easy and obvious, so no calling me (or others) homers or anything dumb like that :)

I wrote a description for the trade, but then I refreshed and it disappeared so all you need to know is that it meets the Value correctly (fact), but its not a big quality piece like a Kakko or something, LIKE I SAID (so its not gonna happen, but if bruins WERE to be the team, this trade would be most accurate)
THESE ARE FULLY HEALTHY LINES (without Miller cuz he is a mess, but we love him lol)
Transactions
BOS
  1. Eichel, Jack
Détails additionnels:
This is it! Thats what they get. Again, bruins are not gonna be the target because they cant offer quality rn (a top tier prospect), but this trade clearly is worth the correct value!
BUF
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Studnicka, Jack
  3. Zboril, Jakub
  4. Kase, Ondrej
  5. Beecher, John [Liste de réserve]
  6. 2021 1e round pick (BOS)
Détails additionnels:
two top 6 Center Prospects.
A two 6 forward with room to grow
a top 6 forward with injury problems that could excel given a new location
BOS
  1. 2021 6e round pick (ANA)
As he continues to prove, he is not a cap dump.
ANA
  1. Moore, John

this does interest me as a sabres fan, but i think buffalo will need to be blown away by boston to trade eichel within the division and i think LA, NYR, ANA, and MTL could offer better packages

I think Buffalo is going to need at least one top prospect in an Eichel deal. A bunch of middle 6 prospects/players won’t get it done.

Why even bother making an eichal trade if you know it’s no good? The only pieces Boston has that BUF would be interested in would be McAvoy and Pasta, and they are untouchable. There is absolutely no trade here to be made

These replies man. You know someone is clueless about hockey when they don’t consider Studnicka a top prospect. I don’t know about the value of this particular trade but Studnicka is every bit a top prospect.

Because I want people to stop doing Eichel for Pasta, a 1st, and Studnicka. or McAvoy, a 1st, and Vaakanainein... idc.... im just tryna shed light on what realistically COULD happen lol

I like Studnicka and he is clearly a top 6 prospect (so i told the guy earlier to learn hockey lol), but I wouldnt even call him a "top prospect". just gotta be realistic lol

I would just rule out Eichal to Boston entirely. As you said, Boston won’t trade McAvoy or Pasta, but Boston also doesn’t have a blue chip tradeable young piece that some other teams have

Believe me i said all that in my description, that was the point of this post was to say its NOT gonna happen, but if it does, this is the most likely trade (considering they arent moving Pasta, McAvoy, Carlo, and they dont have a top teir prospect.

Studnicka is a good prospect. Middle 6 top out. A top prospect has first line potential.

Notice MY OWN COMMENT SAYING: "but I wouldnt even call him a "top prospect". just gotta be realistic lol"
Call him a homer if you want to, i guess i agree.
but by no means do you have the right to, or the logical basis to, call me a homer or say im wrong. Im simply not lol

If you dont want to listen / learn thats on you and I cant change that. But i Know, and all rational people know, that this is a good trade

I never said you were a homer. I think Studnika could pencil in as a 2C in the NHL level. Good player, but not a “blue chip
Prospect”

As for the trade, like everyone else has said extensively, quantity does not equal quality.

You don’t get Eichal without moving a legitimate blue chip prospect / young player. Boston does not have that. There is zero trade to be made, especially since they are divisional teams.

Who told you that they don’t have a blue chip prospect? Just curious. Scott Wheeler? If Lohrei was a 1st round pick he’d be considered a blue chip prospect. Go watch game tape of him. Look at his stats and tell me he’s not a top prospect. I’m sick of people telling me the Bruins don’t have good prospects yet the team is always top 5 in the league. I bet you didn’t think Pastrnak was a top prospect when he was drafted based on where he was picked. Lauzon although hurt now playing 1st pairing minutes. Let me guess, not a good prospect. The list goes on.

The Bruins don’t have any blue chip prospects lmfao. I never said they don’t have “good” prospects. I simply said they don’t have any blue chips. Bruins won the lottery with Pasta and McAvoy, getting studs in the later first round. However, those guys certainly overachieved their expectations. Lohori is not a top prospect lmfao cmon.

Mac and Pasta were rated higher than where they were selected. They did not overachieve. Teams just screwed up by passing. Both were ranked inside the top 15 for their draft.

Every list had Pasta in late teens to early 30’s. He most certainly overachieved. Do some research before posting

Sorry but I’m taking MacKenzie, Button’s, ISS, etc... lists over SBNation

Regardless, if they did a redraft of 2014, he goes top 3, so there is no debate he overachieved.
